Global Head - Business & Investment Analytics
Dexter E. Wood, Jr., is senior vice president, global head – business & investment analysis, at Hilton Worldwide, a position he has held since joining Hilton in 2009. He is responsible for the company’s global development and real estate finance functions.
Wood also oversees the company’s corporate business analytics function where he led a multi-year initiative to align IT and business units across the organization in establishing a “common business language” approach to enable enterprise data governance. He also developed a strategic blueprint for migration to an enterprise information management platform enabling improved data quality, more efficient analysis of key business metrics, and integration of business decision support. The business analytics team supports many areas of the company including development, corporate strategy, and investor relations.
Before joining Hilton Worldwide, Wood spent more than eight years as senior vice president – feasibility & strategic analysis with Host Hotels & Resorts. Prior to his career at Host, he held various roles for prominent hospitality and real estate consulting firms including PwC and HVS International.
A graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, Wood is a member of the advisory board of the school’s Center for Hospitality Research and Center for Real Estate and Finance. He is also a member of the Hotel Development Council of the Urban Land Institute. He serves as executive board member and treasurer of the Cornell Hotel Society, as well as an executive board member of the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
