Finding Summer and Permanent Jobs

Whether you're searching for a summer or permanent position, no single job search strategy can guarantee success. Implementing multiple job search methods will help you identify the right fit, and we've got the resources to help you do that.

On Campus Recruiting

CornellTRAK - A web-based program (powered by MonsterTRAK) used for posting jobs, student resumes and career interest profiles.   On-Campus Recruiting (InterviewTRAK) is a feature of CornellTRAK used to manage recruiting activity at Cornell and is for current students only.

Job Postings

Permanent Job Listings and Summer Job Listings - Many companies do not come to campus to recruit, but have excellent permanent and summer job opportunities available.  These directories list positions received from employers and are updated regularly.  Students apply directly to the listed contact for positions of interest to them.

Networking

Networking is vital to any job search. The networking process will allow you to tell people about yourself, enlist their support, and help you gather information about available opportunities.

The Alumni Directory may be of assistance in identifying alumni in a particular region or company that you can contact regarding advice or possible employment opportunities.

Also, the Company Contact Lists is a database that contains thousands of industry contacts, including addresses, phone and fax numbers, and email addresses.

Finally, begin developing your own contact list by attending On-Campus Company Presentations, Question and Answer Sessions and Career Day.
