On-Campus Interviewing
Each semester, companies send representatives to the Hotel School to recruit undergraduate and graduate students for permanent and summer employment. The Office of Student Services manages on-campus recruiting efforts through InterviewTRAK, a feature of CornellTRAK.
CornellTRAK is a web-based system used for posting jobs, student résumés, career interest profiles, and alumni mentor information specifically for Cornellians. It gives students 24-hour online access to job descriptions and recruiting information. InterviewTRAK lets you submit résumés, sign up for interviews, and review your interview selections online. Any currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate student is eligible to participate in InterviewTRAK On-Campus Recruiting.
Although you should not rely on this process as the only method for getting a job, it is a good way to interview with companies you are interested in and learn more about them. The representatives decide for themselves when they will visit Cornell, how long they will stay, what positions they are seeking to fill, how many interviews they will conduct, and, in many cases, who they will interview ("prescreening"). We encourage you to begin your company research early. Being knowledgeable about companies before the time to schedule interviews will help ensure that you will be interviewing only with those companies you are truly interested in.
