The article reports on the continued sales increase of beer in the U.S. According to Information Resources Inc., a total of 7.6 percent in sales have been gained by the domestic premium beer through May 17, 2009 in supermarkets, drug stores and mass merchandise accounts. It notes that the continued improvement volumes of beer has marked the said increases. Two charts depicting the sales of top beer brands such as the Bud Light, Busch Light, and Heineken are presented.

Meanwhile, the ready-to-drink coffee has never performed well in which sales fell 15 percent.

Meanwhile, 33% of the chefs say that mixologists and signature cocktails will be the number one trend in restaurants within the year.

The article reports on trends in the refrigerated juice and juice drink industry in the U.S. Data from Information Resources Inc. (IRI) revealed that the sector posted an overall profit of $4.5 billion for the year ending November 2, 2008. It is noted that companies are expanding their products lines, offering juice drinks with more antioxidants, vitamins and flavor. Top juice and smoothies brands include Naked Juice from PepsiCo, Tropicana Pure Premium and Florida's Natural.
