Featured Advisory Board Member: Niklas Andréen

Niklas Andréen

Niklas Andréen, Group Vice President, Hospitality and Partner Marketing, has global responsibility for Travelport’s hotel distribution and advertising businesses. In this role, he manages a global team and is tasked with delivering industry leading GDS and other technology and advertising solutions to enable hotel content to be distributed as widely as possible to travel retailers across the globe.

Before being promoted into his current role in 2010, he spent several years as Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Nordic Countries where he had overall responsibility for the day to day management and financial performance of the region, which also comprises Russia – Europe’s fastest growing travel market. Other key markets within the region include Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania and the Czech Republic. Prior to this role, Niklas has also held responsibility for managing the company’s performance in Germany and the Nordic Countries.

Before joining Travelport in 2003, Niklas worked for international internet firm, Connecta, and also spent time running his own strategy consulting firm, Cambit Consulting AB. Before joining Connecta in 1999 he spent five years in different roles at strategy consulting firms Accenture and Monitor Company. Niklas’ specific expertise was advising on organisational and multi-channel distribution strategies, and he has a particularly strong track record in providing such strategic advice to international travel organisations.

Niklas holds an MSc in Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics. He is fluent in English and Swedish, conversational in French and beginner in German.
