Mar Vila Fernandez-Santacruz
Mar is nowadays in charge of the ESADE ‘s research group in Tourism Management, she has collaborated with ESADE's Centre for Tourism Management (CEDIT) since 2001, being responsible for its management since September 2004. She has been in charge of the Tourism Business Management and Administration programme and the International Doctoral Tourism and Leisure Colloquium. She is in charge of the organization of various conferences for the circulation, among the tourism sector, of studies prepared in the CEDIT.
Her research and teaching activity has concentrated on the area of management control and on the sphere of tourism industry. In particular, her lines of research refer to performance measurements, and critical factors of success of tourism businesses. Previously, Mar worked in companies such as KPMG Peat Marwick, BSCH and CIRSA.
In 2006 she received a positive assessment of her teaching and research activity from the Agency for the Quality of the Catalan University System (AQU).
