Eliza Ching-Yick Tse, Ph.D.
Dr. Tse received her PhD degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She was a faculty member with Virginia Tech for more than 10 years before she accepted the appointment in 1999 to be the founding member for the establishment of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has published numerous articles in top refereed journals and proceedings. In addition to co-authoring the first strategy book in the hospitality industry, Strategic Management in the Hospitality Industry, she also has been a chapter contributor to a number of books. Dr. Tse is the editor of the first electronic journal in the field, the Journal of the International Academy of Hospitality Research. She serves on the editorial board for International Journal of Hospitality Management, Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, and Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research. Her area of research expertise is in the area of strategic management. She has held managerial positions in hotel and foodservice industry in the United States as well as in Hong Kong.
