Rex S. Toh

Rex S. Toh is a professor and director of the marketing program at the Albers School of Business at Seattle University. He has published close to 70 journal articles in the areas of research/survey methodology, transportation/logistics, and the tourism/hospitality area. His articles have appeared in journals such as the Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Letters, Journal of Business Research, Psychological Reports, International Journal of Market Research, Transportation Journal, Journal of Economics and Transportation Policy, Transportation Research E: Logistics and Transportation Review, Annals of Tourism Research, Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, Tourism Analysis, and the International Journal of Hospitality Management. He serves on the editorial boards of the Annals of Tourism Research, Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, and Tourism Analysis. Co-founder of the Travel Balance Approach to Tourism Cycles, he is interested in studies on tourism cycles, shift-share analysis of tourist arrivals and revenues, tourism sustainability, impact of catastrophic events on tourism, and hotel management issues such as overbooking policies, non-performance penalties, attrition contracts, and meeting planners. He also has an interest in cruiseline operations.
