Beverley Sparks

beverley sparksBeverley Sparks is a professor with the Griffith Business School at Griffith University, Queensland, Australia. She is also the director of the Sustainable Tourism CRC Education Program, which provides scholarships and mentoring to more than 70 PhD (tourism) scholars each year in Australia. She holds a BA, Graduate Diploma of Business (tourism and hospitality), and a PhD. Beverley is an active researcher in the area of services marketing and management, and has several publications in top-quality journals, including Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research, Tourism Management, Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly , Journal of Service Research, Psychology and Marketing, and Journal of Business Research. In additional to the CQ, she has served on the editorial board of other international journals, including International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management and Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research. She has received a range of grants for her research work and also has a strong publication record. Her current research projects include customer value derived from tourism products, food and wine tourism, and how to ensure customer satisfaction. She is the project leader for a major Australian Research Council Linkage Grant project investigating the value of timeshare resort purchases. The project, involving studies across three points in time (pre-purchase, transaction, and ongoing ownership) commenced in January 2007.
