Stanley Plog, Ph.D
Dr. Plog has more than 35 years of experience in consulting and research, covering a variety of fields with a special emphasis on travel and tourism. He currently directs his own consulting service, completing assignments for a broad range of travel and tourism clients. He has worked with leaders of virtually every segment of the travel industry, including hotels, resorts and destinations, airlines, cruise lines, travel media, and travel agency conglomerates. He is a regular keynote speaker at travel industry meetings. His work includes positioning and branding projects for destinations and travel providers throughout the world. He founded Plog Research and built the company to international recognition in travel consulting and research. The company was acquired by NFO Worldwide in 1996 and he remained with it for five years. He received the Alfred E. Koehl Lifetime Achievement Award for travel marketing from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), presented in New York City on January 26, 2004.
