Vincent P. Magnini

Vincent Magnini is an assistant professor of hospitality management at Virginia Tech where he teaches undergraduate, masters, and doctoral courses in service management and marketing. He holds a Ph.D. in international business with a major in marketing from Old Dominion University. Prior to his career in academia, Professor Magnini worked in management at Marriott, Hyatt, and Hilton-Garden properties in the Mid-Atlantic and Mid-western regions of the U.S.
The three areas in which his research interests lie are entrepreneurial marketing, organizational behavior within entrepreneurial firms, and international strategy. More specifically, much of his published research studies service failure situations, customer satisfaction, and hotel and restaurant advertising. This research appears in such outlets as the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research, Journal of Services Marketing, and the Journal of Service Research.
Professor Magnini has received a number of awards for his research, institutional leadership ability, and teaching excellence.
