Christopher R J Knable
Christopher R.J. Knable is an award winning owner developer and hotelier and with more than two decades of experience in global hospitality. Knable has worked with and for some of the world’s legendary hotel companies, financial institutions and high net worth investors around the globe in Africa, the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia.
Now overseeing a portfolio of hotels for Kingdom Hotel Investments, Christopher secures the investment goals of Founder His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin AbdulAziz Alsaud.
Prior to joining Kingdom, as a private developer and advisor he developed a number of notable projects including the Elysian Chicago Hotel and Private Residences, Rosewood Mayakoba and Cipriani Punta del Este. With a remarkable range of experience on four continents, his global career started as a teenager washing dishes in private restaurants and progressed to owner developer through several phases including senior operations and marketing roles with renowned ultra-luxury hotel groups such as Peninsula, Regent and Four Seasons. His advisory work includes turnarounds and development for both high net worth individuals and major financial institutions.
Active with teaching and mentoring, Mr. Knable serves on the advisory boards of The Academy of Travel and Tourism in New York as part of the National Academy Foundation as well as The Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Management at New York University. His love for nurturing the hospitality leaders of tomorrow has taken him from New York to Bhutan. Knable is also a regular contributor to hospitality media and has also been featured in numerous print and broadcast outlets including the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
He has received numerous accolades from both the public and private sector for his service to both foster children and separately the downtown Manhattan community following the tragic events of September 11th.
A graduate of Hunter College in New York, Mr. Knable is also an alumnus of CORO Leadership New York and a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants. He resides in Dubai and has two children.
