Michelle A. Dean
Michelle Dean is an assistant professor in the Department of Management at San Diego State University. She received her BA and MBA from Louisiana State University (LSU) as well as her PhD in business administration with a concentration in organizational behavior/human resource management from LSU. She has taught classes in human resource management, staffing, compensation, and labor relations at LSU, University of Oklahoma, University of North Texas, and San Diego State University. Her research interests include biographical data, personnel selection, job analysis, and research methods. She has published in a variety of journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Personnel Psychology, Research in Personnel/Human Resource Management, Human Performance, and Organizational Research Methods. She has received awards for her research from the International Personnel Management Association Assessment Council (IPMAAC) and the Academy of Management (AOM) Research Methods Division. She has worked with a variety of organizations addressing human resource selection issues.
