Jim Combs
Jim Combs (PhD, Louisiana State University) is an associate professor at Florida State University, where he coordinates the PhD programs in management. His research interests include: organizational form decisions, especially regarding franchising; organizational governance and executive compensation; and knowledge accumulation in organization-level research. In addition to the Cornell Quarterly, his research appears in outlets such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Business Venturing. He is active in both the Academy of Management and the Southern Management Association. He also serves on the editorial board of Entrepreneurship: Theory and Practice.
