Herman Aguinis
Herman Aguinis is the Dean’s Research Professor, Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources, and Director of the Institute for Global Organizational Effectiveness at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He has held visiting appointments at universities in China, Malaysia, Singapore, Argentina, France, Spain, Puerto Rico, Australia, and South Africa. He is the author of five books, including Performance Management (Prentice Hall, 2nd edition, 2009), Applied Psychology in Human Resources Management (7th edition, Prentice Hall, 2011, with W. F. Cascio), and Regression Analysis for Categorical Moderators (Guilford, 2004), In addition, he has published about 90 articles in refereed journals and delivered more than 180 presentations at professional conferences on topics related to human-resource management, organizational behavior, and research methodology. He has been ranked among the 550 most cited management scholars in the world in the past quarter century (1981-2004) (Journal of Management, 2008) and, according to Google Scholar, his work has been cited more than 3,400 times. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Science, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and has been inducted into the Society of Organizational Behavior and the Society for Research Synthesis Methodology. He has received the Academy of Management Entrepreneurship Division IDEA Thought Leader Award (2011), the Academy of Management Research Methods Division Robert McDonald Advancement of Organizational Research Methodology Award (2009), and the Academy of Management Research Methods Division Advancement of Organizational Research Methodology Award (2001). He served as chair of the Academy of Management Research Methods Division and program chair of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management and as Editor-in-Chief of Organizational Research Methods. He has worked on numerous consulting and research projects in the hospitality industry in North America, Latin America, and Europe with Marriott Vacation Club International, Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, Domino's Pizza, and other organizations.
