Cornell Hotel School Dean and Center for Hospitality Research Director to conduct media interviews at International Hotel Show in New York City, Nov. 8-11

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Dean David W. Butler and Professor Gary Thompson, the executive director of The Center for Hospitality Research, will be among the Cornell School of Hotel Administration experts in New York City Nov. 9-12 at the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
Media are invited to meet Hotel School Dean David W. Butler, who will discuss new trends in hospitality management education, the Hotel School's new collaboration with the Culinary Institute of America, the opening of the Beck Center in the fall 2004, as well as the growth of online education in hospitality. They are also invited to meet with Thompson about his recent studies on restaurant revenue management, and other hospitality and travel-related research. Both Thompson and Butler will be at Cornell's exhibit booth No. 2646 on Level 3 of the Javits Center Monday, Nov. 10, from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m. and also are available to meet at other times during the weekend by arrangement. New software tools for hospitality managers, such as the Center's Turnover Cost Evaluator and others, will be demonstrated at Cornell's booth.
