Susan Robertson is the Executive Vice President of ASAE (501(c)6) & President of the ASAE Foundation (501(c)3), organizations focused on inspiring leadership and achievement within the association management and nonprofit community. With more than 22,000 members, and a staff of 135, ASAE and its foundation provide knowledge learning, research, and advocacy to its members who manage leading trade associations, individual membership societies, and voluntary organizations across the United States and in 50 countries around the globe. As part of the executive office of the organization, she leads its strategic and operational planning. Her ten-year career with ASAE has encompassed leadership of teams focused on almost every aspect of the organization. This includes meetings and events, finance, volunteer relations and membership, marketing, advertising, sponsorship, fundraising, publishing, social media and website, communications and public relations, industry and market research, credentialing, and the award-winning magazine, Associations Now. She is a frequent instructor and presenter at association industry events and programs on ASAE-lead research topics such as association industry trends, economic impact, and future operating models for member-serving organizations.

Prior to joining ASAE, Ms. Robertson was the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for U.S. Office Products, a multibillion dollar business products company, owning brands such as Mail Boxes, Etc. and Blue Star Group. During the earlier years of her career as a marketing and program development professional, she held positions with Ethan Allen, Inc. in its Danbury, CT headquarters, Washington-based National Office Products Association, and the National Dealer Alliance, where she was Executive Director.
