Tom Parham is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Philips Hospitality Americas, a division of Royal Philips Electronics, and a member of the Philips global hospitality business management team. Tom is responsible for driving business growth, sustainability initiatives, managing strategic and global alliances, and promoting overall operational excellence for the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.
In a new endeavor, Tom serves on the advisory board for the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration’s Center for Hospitality Research. Prior to joining Philips Hospitality in August 2007, Tom held several positions within the Philips organization, including Senior Vice President and General Manager of Philips Home Networks, Americas; Senior Vice President and General Manager of Philips Set Top Boxes, Americas; and Vice President of Product Strategy and Planning for Philips Digital Television. Tom has nearly twenty years with Philips and has received many accolades including the President’s Award for Contributions to Business Excellence.
Tom graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from Minnesota State University, and has an MBA in Marketing from University of Iowa. Tom also served four years with the United States Marine Corp., where he earned two Commanding Officer’s Meritorious Masts and two Commanding General’s Letters of Accommodation. Tom and his wife Rebecca have two daughters and are active in the community as well as several charitable causes.
