Stephen C. Brandman is the co-owner of Thompson Hotels, a collection of small luxury hotels. A veteran of the industry, Brandman has been with Thompson Hotels since its inception in 2001. He joined the company from InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, where he was general manager of the InterContinental Central Park South in New York. Brandman spent 16 years with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts where he spearheaded over $300 million in renovation projects. As well, he headed up quality, standards, and yield management for all 150 InterContinental Hotels worldwide. In addition, he has opened and operated properties in Hilton Head, S.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Miami and London, England. Brandman is a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
Thompson Hotels is owned collectively by Brandman along with Larry, Michael and Jason Pomeranc. Thompson Hotels currently manages eleven properties either open or currently in development. In New York, they are; 60 Thompson, 6 Columbus, Gild Hall, Thompson Lower East Side and Smyth Tribeca; in Los Angeles, Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and Thompson Beverly Hills. Additional properties include Donovan House, Washington D.C.; Thompson Toronto, Toronto; and Thompson Seoul, Korea.
