Hospitality Leadership Through Learning
Industry partnerships. Industry service. Both are cornerstones of our school.
In our Executive Education programs, each year our faculty helps thousands of professionals accelerate their growth. General managers learn how to improve their strategic thinking and profitability. Industry professionals build skills that advance their careers. Participants interact with peers from around the globe, gaining new perspectives and new friends. Courses can also be taken online, anywhere, anytime. And we create customized programs, delivered at Cornell or anywhere in the world.
We welcome hundreds of industry leaders to campus each year. They share their wisdom in the classroom and through informal gatherings, giving our students a distinctive learning experience. They take part in special events like Hotel Ezra Cornell, an industry conference run by students. And they recruit our students; more than 100 companies interview on campus each year. The school is also an active participant and sponsor at many leading hospitality industry events around the world.
Our outreach extends to the school’s Center for Hospitality Research (CHR), supported by 72 corporate partners and friends. The center unites scholars with business leaders to produce timely research that propels the industry forward.
Our new Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship is yet another important connection with successful entrepreneurs in the industry. Faculty members and experienced entrepreneurs coach students on how to turn new ideas into thriving enterprises.
We also draw guidance and counsel from the distinguished hospitality leaders who serve on our industry councils.
