PDP Provides a Path to Certification

PDP offers Certifications recognized around the world.  Certification sequences are composed of four to six sharply-focused courses.  You may complete a course sequence in a single year or in as many as four years.

For those interested in earning more than one certification, you can apply one course that has been applied toward a completed certification toward a subsequent certification. For example, completion of "Financial Management for Nonfinancial Managers" is a requirement for both the Certification in Hospitality Management and the Certification in Financial Management of Hotels. If you are interested in earning both of these certifications, this course may be applied to both sequences. This applies to certifications completed in 2007 and beyond.

You may wish to pursue a certification that requires a course or courses that cover material with which you are already familiar by virtue of your experience or prior education. The Office of Executive Education would be happy to assistant in course selection that best suits your experience and education.

As you plan your courses for 2008, you are encouraged to keep full certification in mind. You may earn certification in any of the following specialized areas:

Financial Management

Food, Beverage, and Restaurant Management

General and Strategic Management

Human-Resource Management

Marketing

Operations Management

Property-Asset Management and Real Estate
