Tom Kline
Executive Director

 

Tom oversees the Office of Executive Education and works closely with international clients in the hospitality industry to develop customized learning experiences. In addition, he has led the school’s initiative into technology-enabled executive education, reaching thousands of hospitality professionals every year via video and online courses. Tom earned an MS from the Cornell School of Hotel Adminstration in 1996.


Nancy Weislogel
Director of Operations and International Collaborations

 

Nancy provides day-to-day management, direction, and leadership for all operational areas of the office. She focuses her time on financial management and new course/product development. 

 

In her role as Director of International Collaborations Nancy works to develop relationships with international academic institutions to create outbound and inbound visiting student opportunities. In addition, she promotes the use of Cornell online courses and certificate programs for curricular use at other hospitality management schools.

 

Nancy joined the office in the spring of 1997 and holds a bachelor’s degree in design and environmental analysis from Cornell University.

Donna Bizzell
Distance Learning and Program Manager

 

Donna divides her time in the office between managing online course offerings and custom programs.  She reviews and approves applications for the General Managers Program as well as registrations for online courses, and has coordinated programs both at Cornell and internationally. Donna began her career in the Office of Executive Education in 2001 overseeing the marketing efforts.

Janice Learn
Office Coordinator

 

Janice is the front-line to our prospective participants, selling courses, responding to web and email inquiries, and processing online applications. Janice is the former Director of Business Development at Garrity Communications here in Ithaca. She has also worked as a sales and visual lead associate for Eddie Bauer and with special needs children in the NJ school system as well as a myriad of volunteer activities in her community.

Leslie Morris
Marketing and Communications Manager

 

Leslie manages the marketing and communications strategies, including electronic and print campaigns, social media, and advertising, to promote the Office of Executive Education to hospitality professionals. She has worked in higher education marketing and communications since 1992. Leslie holds her BA in journalism from Duquesne University and her master’s from Elmira College.

Kimberly Spencer

Custom Programs Manager

Executive Assistant to the Executive Director

 

Kimberly manages the Custom Programs for the Office of Executive Education, working closely with hospitality industry clients and faculty.  Her role involves client proposals and relations, custom program management and faculty coordination.  Kimberly also provides support to the Executive Director. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Shara Walden
Professional Development Program Manager

 

Since 2001, Shara has managed The Professional Development Program.  She is involved in all planning and implementation aspects of the program including course selection, faculty and participant relations, and managing the student team.  Recently, Shara added project management responsibilities for the department’s emerging video conferencing efforts. Shara holds a bachelor's degree from Ithaca College.

Vicki Westfall
Program Coordinator

 

Vicki coordinates and administers executive education programs held at the Hotel School, including the General Managers Program. In doing so, she works with faculty, clients and participants to ensure the highest-quality learning experience. Vicki has been with the Office of Executive Education since 1999.
