Cornell receptions at industry events often draw hundreds in attendance and provide an opportunity for our alumni and industry partners to gather and network with one another. Many look forward to each of these occasions as an enjoyable respite from their hectic conference schedules.

- The 8th Annual MMH Reception will be held during the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show in New York on November 8, 2009 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the W New York - 541 Lexington Avenue. During the reception, Timothy J. Dick MPS ‘88, Senior Vice President, TriMont Real Estate Advisors, will receive the MMH Outstanding Alumnus of the Year Award.
- The 5th Annual Cornell Reception at ALIS will be held on January 26, 2010 during the Americas Lodging Investment Summit.
- This year's Cornell Reception at IHIF/ITB was held March 11, 2009, at the Kempinski Hotel Bristol in Berlin, Germany. Rudy Muenster '62 was honored for his years of dedication to the School of Hotel Administration and the Cornell Hotel Society. Simon Turner '83, President, Global Development, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, gave the tribute speech.
