Institute Events
In keeping with its mission of providing opportunities for students to expand the entrepreneurship skills learned in the classroom, the Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship sponsors a spectrum of programs and events designed to complement entrepreneurship education through experience-based initiatives. With its unique focus on the hospitality industry, PIHE’s entrepreneurship events and programs are based on learning from master entrepreneurs and synergized by direct experience for program participants. Most critically, PIHE’s events and programs provide a mechanism to benefit both program participants and the industry as a whole through interaction of the industry practitioners and entrepreneurs in training.
Events include Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV), Student Business Plan Competition, and the Innovation Network. The PIHE also supports the Entrepreneurship at Cornell (E@C) annual conference through creation of panels and participation in the planning process.
