Industry and Community Service – CREF assists local, state, national, and international organizations and government agencies by advancing knowledge and intellectual inquiry about hospitality real estate. CREF serves SHA alumni and friends via information sharing on the CREF website and via the CREF Industry Fellows.
CREF Industry Fellows - The Industry Fellows are the focus of CREF's outreach effort. Industry fellows receive regular updates on real estate topics from CREF faculty and assist the center by providing resources, helping to recruit students, hiring real estate students for internships and permanent placements, assisting the research efforts by supplying data and access to industry executives, mentoring students, and participating in the classroom and other student events.
CREF Friends - The Friends of CREF help the center with financial support, professional expertise, and in-kind gifts. Friends provide assistance in helping the center’s educational and research missions by providing support for student enrichment activities like the NYC Undergraduate Real Estate Case Competition and ARGUS Training, providing student subscriptions to industry publications, and supplying data to CREF faculty for research and teaching purposes. Friends are individuals, real estate businesses, and media firms. We thank the Friends of CREF for helping make our mission a reality.
