Affiliate Information

Becoming an Affiliate member of the Cornell Hotel Society allows individuals access to an exclusive network of leaders in the hospitality industry who are graduates of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. The Society has a global reach via 60 chapters on six continents, and their events are the hallmark of many industry conferences. We hope you will consider completing the required courses to be eligible for membership.

Affiliate Membership Benefits include:

      • a member benefits program, in which members of the Cornell Hotel Society (CHS) can post/enjoy discounts on exclusive products & services
  • access to the Permanent Jobs listing- search or post jobs
  • an enhanced, easy-to-use Event Calendar
  • access to the Alumni Directory of the School of Hotel Administration
  • Hotelie magazine, published 2 times per year, and 1 Annual Report

Eligibility:

To become an Affiliate member, individuals must complete one of the following:

  1. The General Managers Program (GMP)
  2. 6 Professional Development Program courses (PDP)
  3. Complete the stipulated credit hours and/or a minumum 1 semester as a fully matriculalted special student or in a degree program at the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
  4. Obtain an equivalent degree or diploma from a university program associated with the School.

(*Please note that E-Cornell courses are not eligible.)

Options 1 and 2 are available through the Office of Executive Education at the School of Hotel Administration.
Other qualified Affiliates include graduates of AMP, AUS, EURO, NOR, and IMHI graduates from 1983-2006.

Annual Membership Dues:
Affiliates gain an invaluable connection to the school's extensive network of more than 12,500 alumni. To access the school's Alumni Directory, and other benefits noted above, an Affiliate must be a dues-paying member of the Cornell Hotel Society.

Membership fees are as follows:

  • CHS membership: $90 (dues are per calendar year, January- December)
  • CHS Lifetime membership: $1200
