Visit Us

The School of Hotel Administration (SHA) is located at the heart of Cornell University’s campus overlooking Cayuga Lake, the longest of the Finger Lakes, in Ithaca, New York.

SHA Information Sessions
Undergraduate information sessions are offered throughout the calendar year** every Monday and Friday at 11:00 a.m. in 180 Statler Hall. 

**Note: There will be no information sessions for prospective students on Friday, May 3, 2013 or Friday, August 23, 2013.

Prospective students are encouraged to visit campus and attend a School of Hotel Administration (SHA) information session. The session is conducted by an admissions counselor and will introduce you to the SHA curriculum, special programs, clubs and organizations, career opportunities as well as tips on applying and completing your required interview.

  • Tours of the School of Hotel Administration
    SHA Tours are conducted by undergraduate student ambassadors and are offered when classes are in session Monday through Thursday at noon and 3:00 p.m., and Friday noon.  Tours leave from 180 Statler Hall.
  • Note: There will be no tour on Friday, March 15, 2013 or Friday, May 3, 2013.

  • Observe a Class 
    Visiting a class is a great way to experience the academic life of a SHA student and the opportunity to meet our faculty. Prior to visiting, please review our classes for visitors (please note: there are limited SHA classes offered on Fridays).

    Please arrive 10 minutes early to introduce yourself to the instructor and to ensure there are no conflicts. Due to space limitations, classes are available to students only.

  • Other Visit Options
    During your visit to Cornell University, we encourage you to take a Tour of Cornell's campus. Walking tours of the campus are conducted by current students and provide an overview of Cornell and the seven undergraduate colleges. Undergraduate Admissions information sessions provide an overview of Cornell, student life and general admissions requirements.

  • Before You Arrive
    Information regarding travel to and from campus, hotel accommodations and parking can be found here. Complimentary parking passes can be obtained at the Visitor Parking and Information Booths located at the campus entrances.

    The Statler Hotel and J. Willard Marriott Executive Education Center, part of the School of Hotel Administration, is located in the center of Cornell's campus and is our recommended choice for visitor accommodations in Ithaca, NY.
