Christi was chosen as a 2008 Merrill Presidential Scholar and was also the winner of the Hotel School's prestigious Drown Prize. The Drown prize, a $15,000 award, is given to the student who has demonstrated unparalleled excellence in academics, career and personal achievements. As the first in her family to attend college, Christi attributes her success not only to her own hard work but also to her friends and family.
