Tuition and Funding

Tuition

Cornell's Graduate School provides detailed information regarding tuition expenses. The School of Hotel Administration is an endowed college and the MS and PhD are considered research degrees. Tuition must be paid prior to registration in the fall or spring semester. There is no tuition charge for noncredit summer research.

Financial Support and Assistantships

MS students do not receive funding to cover tuition expenses.

PhD students may receive tuition fellowships and a taxable stipend. These are determined on a case-by-case basis. Their tuition expenses are almost always covered, and stipends are typically $21,400 for the academic year in return for about 15 hours of work each week (conducting research or assisting with a course).

The Graduate School Fellowships and Financial Aid Office provides additional information about financial-aid opportunities for graduate students.
