MMH
What are we looking for?
We aim to create a class of theory-based, action-oriented leaders from diverse backgrounds including industry veterans wanting to advance their careers and professionals in pursuit of a career change. We are also seeking candidates with a strong commitment to a career in the hospitality industry. MMH students come from a variety of undergraduate majors, including: accounting, business, economics, engineering, finance, history, law, medicine, philosophy, and real estate.
We expect candidates to demonstrate their potential to perform well in a graduate business curriculum with a successful academic record in their bachelor's or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university program and a competitive score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
Prior study in business or hospitality is not a requirement for admission; however, much of the coursework in the MMH curriculum requires quantitative skills. Completing introductory courses in calculus and statistics prior to attending is helpful.
Two years of full-time work experience is required; hospitality-related work experience is preferred. Relevant work experience prior to enrolling will have a direct impact on one's initial job placement. In other words, career opportunities for students with several years of experience are quite different from those for individuals who are entering hospitality for the first time.
To ensure that the widest range of life experience, knowledge, creative expression, and original thinking is available for our students, we seek diversity and hope to create a class which reflects the depth and breadth of the world in which we live.
