Education

Education is an official university-wide minor in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and is recognized as a concentration within the Hotel School.

The concentration in Education gives students a planned core of courses to provide them with an overview of education as a field.  One option prepares students to move into the graduate segment of the Cornell Teacher Education Program.  Other options provide preparation for admission into other graduate teacher certification programs or a background for other professional venues such as extension, business, and industry.

Any undergraduate student in the university may enroll in the Education concentration, subject to availability in courses required.  Students who wish to pursue the concentration must complete and submit an application, available in the Department of Education, 408 Kennedy Hall, or by email request.
