Charrette

The Charrette is an intensive consulting project, working with a hospitality-related business client. Divided into consulting teams, the students perform industry-specific, project-related research such as trend analysis and tracking, financial analysis and modeling, and strategic analysis.

At the start of the Charrette, the business client visits Cornell and presents a situation, giving the students a set of guidelines and objectives to be completed by the end of the project. The project weekend is concluded with a set of final presentations and recommendations by the students to the client.

The industry client provides an assessment of the students’ performance on the project and gives specific feedback to each student team.
