Hospitality Leadership Through Learning
MMH Special Programs
The MMH Special Programs are designed to incorporate leadership-building skills into your theoretical studies, and to provide numerous networking and career-development opportunities. Each of the programs is carefully developed to hone specific management skills and to create opportunities for MMH students to interact with industry executives.
The programs include:
- Professional Development, which sets a personalized career development strategy for each MMH student.
- The Leadership Development Program, where MMH students learn self-assessment and benchmarking tools.
- An Externship, in which MMH students get a glimpse of corporate culture, and engage in a brief project during the winter intersession.
- The Charrette, which requires MMH students to work in teams to address an issue and to present the results to industry executives.
- The Discussion Forums in Hospitality Management , which offer a unique opportunity for MMH students to meet with successful industry leaders in a small group setting to discuss critical industry-related issues.
- The Master Class—similar to the Charrette— which involves traveling to an organization’s location to experience the corporate culture, solve a case-study problem, and present the results to the leadership team.
