Isadore Sharp is Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
Sharp opened his first hotel in 1961 in Toronto - a 125-room motor hotel. Today the company has 83 hotels and resorts in 35 countries around the world, with more than 40 additional properties in development.
A key component of the company’s operating philosophy is the Golden Rule: to treat others as you wish to be treated. “One way to characterise Four Seasons service is to call it an exchange of mutual respect performed with an attitude of kindness,” says Sharp.
