Service Team
This year, HEC has introduced Service Team for the first time as a way for
volunteers to learn more about serving in food and beverage events. The
sessions are held every Monday afternoon and are open to all Hotel School
students. The goal is to help students gain knowledge and confidence in
food and beverage service, while getting to know others and having a fun
time!
Every week, we cover such topics
as the different types of banquet events, service etiquette, event set-up,
table setting, and even the world of napkin folds. In addition, those who
come to Service Team will have the chance to learn about the HEC food and
beverage events in depth. Service Team members will also have the opportunity
to partner with an event Function Manager to take on more responsibility
during the event. These volunteers will be exposed to leadership positions
within HEC, preparing them for a higher position in next year's HEC.
Service Team aims to create a better experience for both students and
guests so that HEC 84 can be the best ever!
