The School of Hotel Administration offers a glimpse into the multi-billion dollar world of hospitality management, a world of resorts, condominiums, casinos, real estate, marketing, tourism—and mainstays such as food, beverages, and lodgings.

The school’s Statler Hotel and Executive Conference Center acts like a teaching hospital, giving students a chance to learn while doing. The school and its renowned hotel are situated at the heart of the Cornell campus, enticing visitors with art, theater, and collegiate sports events. The school and the university overlook Cayuga Lake, at the heart of Central New York’s Finger Lakes wine region.

And you can be sure there are restaurants that cater to every taste – making the school, the university, and the region a favorite destination of tourists, prospective students, and alumni.

Tours

Tours of the Hotel School conducted by undergraduate student ambassadors are offered when classes are in session Monday through Thursday at noon and 3:00 p.m., and Friday noon. Tours leave from 180 Statler Hall. Inquire within.

Tours of Cornell's campus are offered throughout the calendar year.

Singapore campus:
To schedule an appointment at the Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management (CNI), call 65 6316-8865 or fax 65 6794-9796, or e-mail cni-hospitality@ntu.edu.sg. The CNI Admissions Office is open from 0830 hrs to 1745 hrs on Mondays to Thursdays and from 0830 hrs to 1715 hrs on Fridays, local time.

Transportation

Ithaca, and the School of Hotel Administration, is 250 miles from New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Toronto, and is accessible by air, bus, and car.

For those traveling by plane, Ithaca-Tompkins Regional Airport is served by USAirways and Northwest. Syracuse International Airport is an hour-and-a-quarter's drive from Ithaca and is served by most major airlines; there is a bus and limo service to that airport from Ithaca. Rochester is approximately an hour and a half away.

For those traveling by bus, Ithaca is served by Greyhound, New York Trailways, and ShortLine bus systems. The nearest Amtrak train station is in Syracuse; connecting bus service is available. Students with special needs are advised to contact bus lines directly to ensure proper accommodations.

The Statler Hotel and J. Williard Marriott Executive Education Center, a teaching unit of the School of Hotel Administration, has 153 guest rooms, many with breathtaking views of the Cornell campus. You may reserve a guest room online and book ahead at Banfi’s restaurant, too.
