Statler Hall hums with the excitement of a new academic year. The 2009 graduates have started their illustrious careers, 70 percent of survey respondents have reported job acceptances, and new and returning students are eagerly exploring all that SHA has to offer. This year’s 183 freshman and 53 transfer students come from four continents and are part of the most racially and ethnically diverse class to enter Cornell.
SHA also welcomes three new members to our excellent faculty. Crocker Liu has been named the Robert A. Beck Professor of Hospitality Financial Management and Helen Chun and Michael Giebelhausen are both assistant professors of marketing.
