About
Jason Adriaenssens
I am currently involved in the Statler Leadership Development Program as a student front-office supervisor at The Statler Hotel.
SLDP gives students from Cornell’s world-renowned School of Hotel Administration the opportunity for hands-on experience in supervisory roles. The program encourages students to gain experience in various departments throughout The Statler. As part of the program, I have had the opportunity to work in housekeeping, at the bell stand and front desk, and in reservations.
I am originally from West Islip, New York, which is located on the south shore of Long Island. Besides attending classes at the Hotel School and working at The Statler, I also volunteer at the Varna Fire Department, located just east of Cornell’s veterinary college. As a certified New York State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-D), I respond mostly to medical emergencies within the hamlet of Varna.
After I graduate in May, I hope to pursue a career in hotel operations, more specifically in the front office. I hope to move south to a warmer climate, somewhere close to the ocean.
