Chris Gleason

Chris GleasonAllow me to introduce myself: My name is Chris and I’m a junior in the School of Hotel Administration. At The Statler Hotel I can be seen wearing many different hats. During the day (outside of the school year), I work in the sales and catering offices. During the evening I switch my time between being a prep cook in the main kitchen and a supervisor in the banquets department.

My hometown was originally Montgomery, New Jersey, right next to Princeton; but after I left for school my parents sold the house and headed to the Jersey shore. With only two years left at school, I’m starting to think about what to do after graduation. Currently, I would love to become more involved in the country club/golf club/city club industry. I have worked in the industry and absolutely loved my time there.

My opportunities at The Statler Hotel can be traced back to the Statler Leadership Development Program (SLDP), which guides and trains current Hotel School students in leadership positions in the hotel that are based on the students’ own initiative. Though slightly ambitious, through the SLDP program I hope to become the student general manager by my senior year.
