Hospitality Leadership Through Learning
About

E. Brett Rubin

Brett RubinMy name is Brett, and I am a junior at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. A northern New Jersey resident, I knew that Cornell’s Hotel School was the place for me. With three years down and one to go, my classes, internships, and experiences have confirmed my love for the hospitality industry. I started working at The Statler Hotel in my first weeks as a freshman, and have moved through the bell stand, front office, and housekeeping departments. Through the Statler Leadership Development Program—which selects high-achieving Hotel School undergraduates for student management positions—I have been promoted to front-office student supervisor.

A “hotelie” at heart, my dream is to manage a hotel casino in Las Vegas. I know that my operations experience at The Statler will prove to be extremely valuable upon graduation. I spent the fall '06 semester studying international business in Barcelona, Spain, and look forward to applying what I learned to my work at The Statler Hotel and Cornell when I return.
