Annie Ferguson
As a junior in the Hotel School, I have been able to take advantage of a program
called the Statler Leadership Development Program (SLDP). Students in this program work at the Statler in a variety of positions - from entry-level
to supervisor, manager, director, and even student general manager.
I’m currently working toward a supervisory position in the Department of Human Resources. As an HR assistant, my role is to recruit and assist in hiring students. I’m also involved in many other projects that occur throughout the year, such as organizing the Statler Summer Internship Program. Before I started working in the HR department, I gained experience in operations at The Statler Hotel as a front waiter in the banquets department and at Taverna Banfi.
I have a passion for law and human-resource management. After graduation, I hope to apply these passions to improving the quality of the employee experience and thus enhance guest satisfaction. I hope to find a job in the hospitality industry with a company that shares my passion.
